Workplace Learning Team Leader – Community Engagement, Host Coordination & Support

Just like a lot of people the direction of my life has taken many twists and turns manly due to opportunities provided to me and the people’s lives I have crossed paths with.

I started my working life on a very different career path to where I am now but on reflection I can see how from where I started I have ended up here at NextPath Continuous Learning.

My career path began a few years ago as a registered nurse working in St Vincent’s Hospital. I took a break from nursing to become a flight attendant, an amazing experience that finally came to an end once I had a young family. I went back to Nursing in a general practice and then took on roles in community engagement and fundraising . I have worked at Mater Dei for the past few years, side-stepping to NextPath and here I am, now working with young adults and our community, creating and supporting partnerships between young adults and our community through Workplace Learning (WPL)opportunities. I love watching both sides of a WPL opportunity develop, the confidence and growth within the young adult and also the growth in host business employees as they partner with us to provide the opportunities for our young people.

Favourite food? Any food as long as it is authentic and good. I love Greek food but my absolute favourite would have to be Japanese food.

Dream holiday destination? I have had an opportunity to travel to many destinations however there still remains some quite mysterious and alluring places I would like to explore. On my list are India, Israel, Egypt, and to see the Northern Lights from an Igloo!

Rate your Karaoke skills, and what is your go-to song? Well I think I am pretty good when I am in a Karaoke bar in Japan (this is gauged on the one time I did it that is!). Go to song: Dancing Queen by ABBA
